J Yoga

If you’re looking for a type of yoga that’s athletic, physically demanding and that can be practiced at home, then Ashtanga Yoga may be the right choice for you.

Ashtanga Yoga is a style of yoga that is very athletic. With Ashtanga Yoga there are a series of poses or postures you perform, moving from one to the next without pause. In fact, you sometimes jump from one pose to the next or perform pushups between poses. The poses become more difficult as you progress in training. This is an intense form of yoga, and as such, Ashtanga Yoga is often favored by the young and flexible.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga or Ashtanga Yoga means “eight-limbed yoga. Ashtanga Yoga was made popular by K. Pattabhi Jois. Ashtanga Yoga is a Vinyasa style practice that follows a set series of poses.

Once you’ve mastered the poses and transitions of Ashtanga Yoga under the watchful eye of an instructor, you can move through the poses at your own pace, even at home. It’s thought that Ashtanga Yoga was developed especially to appeal to younger people, who are stronger and more flexible, but who were less interested in holding yoga poses for longer periods of time for introspection. Consequently, the poses used in Ashtanga yoga are challenging and none are held for longer than five breaths.

Ashtanga Yoga Poses

The series of Ashtanga Yoga poses begins with the sun salutation, moves through seated poses, then standing poses, moves into the more challenging twisted poses and finally head stands. While you’re doing this, you must synchronize your breathing as well. This produces “internal heat,” which causes sweating and the release of toxins from your organs and muscles. Ashtanga yoga improves circulation and can increase your strength and flexibility, as well as providing relaxation and a sense of calm.

For those who practice the full discipline of Ashtanga yoga, there are rules to be followed that involve the practitioner’s lifestyle, including their eating habits, sleeping habits, sexual practices, spiritual life and even the types of medical care they receive. However, most practitioners of Ashtanga Yoga choose not to follow these strict guidelines, instead focusing on the physical elements only.

To learn Ashtanga yoga, you need to learn from a qualified instructor. Such an instructor who has been trained in the traditional manner is called a guru or yogi. Learning the Ashtanga yoga sequence with one if these guides is extremely important, as there is a serious potential for injury.

Three levels of difficulty of Ashtanga Yoga:

Beginner

Intermediate

Advanced Ashtanga Yoga levels

Once you’re an accomplished practitioner, you can practice Ashtanga yoga at home. To do this, you’ll need a space that’s well ventilated, large enough and has a full length mirror so that you can easily check your body position.

Ashtanga Yoga Styles

This style of yoga places a great deal of emphasis on proper body position. This is why your training should begin with an instructor who can help you learn the postures exactly and help correct any mistakes before they become ingrained. Even in class, however, you’ll be encouraged to move at your own pace once you know the sequence of poses. This type of supervised self-practice is known as the Mysore style, which allows practitioners to respond to the unique demands of their bodies during the Ashtanga practice.

Guide To Online Yoga Classes

J Yoga

Discover a new way to do yoga by taking online yoga classes. You can join a live online yoga class being taught by experienced instructors or download video of online yoga classes and take on your own schedule. There are online yoga classes for beginners to the most advanced yoga techniques. With a little research you can find the best online yoga classes for you.

The internet is full of online yoga classes you can watch to learn about this very popular practice. When you take online yoga classes you are getting yoga instructions in the comfort of your own home.

Yoga is an ancient art that keeps the body in a full range of motion and the soul in balance. More and more people become interested in practicing it, as they realize that keeping your body healthy, flexible and strong is extremely important. Yoga will help you make sure that all of your joints, muscles and tendons will work as they should and will help you focus and learn better.

Online Yoga Classes

It seems that people who practice yoga don`t ever need a doctor. The body is kept in such a good shape that illness simply seems to stay away. The amazing thing is that people can begin yoga at any age and it can still do wonders for them. If you hear how passionately people talk about yoga and the way it changed their life you will feel like buying into the first class that come your way and start doing it immediately.

Why Take Online Yoga Classes?

There are many online yoga classes available but finding good ones is tricky. Some of them are in video form and some are documents with images and many step-by-step instructions. Therefore, whether you prefer a video class, or would rather learn from ‘scripture’ there is always something available for you. Be very careful about the websites that offer online yoga classes, as many of them are just spam sites looking to fill your life with ads. There are some legitimate free ones out there however. The key is to take some time to look for them, as they are not always obvious in the long list of Google results. At the same time, you cannot be really sure that actual certified instructors offer the online yoga classes you find on the internet. Ultimately, it may be better to seek out advice from someone who has studied yoga and check their credentials. Learning from someone in person is usually better. An instructor can point out the mistakes you are making and he or she can keep you motivated. It is pretty easy to ignore your online yoga classes, but it is harder to forget about a set, weekly yoga class you paid a subscription for.

Every time you find some new online yoga classes check the credentials of the people who are offering them as there are many con artists out there looking to make a quick buck and they will pretend they are just about anything. Ensure you are practicing techniques that are safe and which will not push your limits too much. Take things slow and ease into your new form of exercise. Pushing anything too far, too fast is bad for your body and will result in you hurting yourself.

If you start following some online yoga classes, you will sometimes lose your patience and will want to quit. Don’t let the negative parts discourage you, as yoga can be one of the most beneficial exercises that you can do for the rest of your life. Just remember that maybe millions of people live a healthy, fulfilling life, not needing a doctor due to practicing yoga.

What Is Kundalini Yoga Meditation?

J Yoga

Kundalini Yoga meditation is a practice that is based on the awakening of the Kundalini Shakti energy. The Kundalini Shakti energy is said to be coiled like a serpent three and a half times at the base of the spine. When the Kundalini energy is awakened, she ascends upwards along the spine until it pierces the seventh chakra in the crown of the head. When this happens, great bliss and knowledge arises within the meditator’s field of awareness. Kundalini Yoga meditation practices both awaken the Kundalini Shakti energy, while nourishing and supporting the awakened energy as it ascends up through the chakras.

Kundalini yoga is a spiritual discipline for developing strength, character, awareness and consciousness. J Yoga provides an introduction guide to Kundalini yoga so you can see if Kundalini yoga is right for youKundalini Yoga meditation techniques that awaken the inner Kundalini energy are based on ancient tantric practices from India. Classically, Kundalini Yoga is taught that only an enlightened master or Guru can awaken the inner energy of the devotee. Some of the techniques used to awaken the Kundalini Shakti are the glance or touch of a Guru, as well as the bestowal of an enlivened mantra from that particular Guru’s lineage.

Kundalini Yoga

The Kundalini Yoga technique of repeating a mantra to awaken the Kundalini Shakti is also possible to do without a Guru, but the results are similar to traveling down a slow, winding county road, instead of flying down a super highway. If you receive Shaktipat or the bestowal of divine grace from a living master, the energy of awakening will be much stronger than if you try to arouse the sleeping Kundalini energy on your own. Kundalini yoga works with kundalini energy or one’s dormant spiritual energy.

Kundalini Yoga Meditation Techniques

Once the Kundalini Shakti has been awakened from its sleep and begins the journey up along the spine through each chakra, there are a number of different meditation techniques that will support the unfolding. One of the primary techniques is the repetition of a sacred mantra, particularly the mantra that has awakened your inner Kundalini energy. The repetition of this mantra will bring you to a subtle and deep place of silence within your own being, where the Absolute realms of existence will become apparent to you.

There are also Kundalini Yoga meditation techniques such as chakra visualizations that will nourish the Kundalini energy as it purifies each energy center. These beautiful visualizations focus on the mandalas or energetic patterns within each chakra, as well as paying homage to the residing deity of each chakra.

As the Kundalini Shakti pierces each chakra, emotions and memories will also be brought to the surface, allowing the devotee to understand and integrate each experience from a more loving perspective.

J Yoga

Yoga has become one of the most popular types of alternative medical treatments and its popularity is growing rapidly every year.

Hatha yoga is one of many types of yoga that exists today.

Yoga was originally meant to be a spiritual treatment of the mind and the soul.

Yoga has, in today’s world, become more of a physical treatment than anything else.

Hatha yoga is the type of yoga that prepares your body for its spiritual journey. Hatha Yoga is mainly done with physical and breathing exercises as well as asceticism. Hatha Yoga requires the most physical exercise than any of the other types of yoga.

Hatha Yoga

A few of the main factors for Hatha yoga are concentration on your breathing and your posture. This type of concentration can be more difficult than you think. Once you try Hatha Yoga for yourself and see what this type of concentration can do, you will want to continue with this type of yoga. The purpose of practicing a great posture is to practice great meditation. You need to find a position that you can sit in for a long period of time. If you cannot be comfortable in your meditation and yoga positions, then you will be unsuccessful. With Hatha Yoga the more postures and positions that you can acquire, a better meditative state will result.

Hatha yoga is the form of yoga that anyone should begin with. Hatha yoga begins with the basics of yoga and teaches you the inner workings of meditation and how you should begin. Once you master your own postures and positions of meditation comfort, it is time to master your breathing patterns. If you can master your own breathing patterns, than mastering your mind is not far out of reach for you. It takes many steps to reach these different levels of meditation and yoga. With practice and concentration anyone can do Hatha Yoga.

Begin with Hatha Yoga

If you are beginning your new adventure with yoga, Hatha yoga is the form of yoga that you should begin with. If you want your Hatha yoga exercise to be successful you must begin with the proper steps and then learn in the right order. If you only learn the superficial methods of Hatha yoga, then you will not experience the desired results from this amazing technique of holistic meditation known as Hatha yoga.

Hatha Yoga is slow-paced with stretching poses, simple breathing exercises and seated meditation. Hatha Yoga is a good way to learn basic poses, relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with yoga.

History of Hatha Yoga

Hatha yoga also called hatha vidya (????????), is a system of yoga introduced by Yogi Swatmarama, a Hindu sage of 15th century India. “hatha” comes means “sun” and “tha” means “moon”. Hatha Yoga unites pairs of opposites systems the positive (sun) and negative (moon).

In today’s world, Hatha yoga mostly used for its physical exercise. We do not take advantage of the other benefits that Hatha yoga can give to us. It is a form of yoga that if done properly, can heal you in the most holistic way possible. Hatha yoga does evolve from its physical exercises. It is these exercises that begin and promote the mind and soul healing. No matter why you are participating in Hatha yoga, you can receive all of these benefits. The only way you can recognize them or use them to your benefit is to practice the other side of yoga, meditation. If you are unaware that these features, they will be of no use to you. When practicing Hatha yoga, you need to be aware of everything going on within you. Pay attention to yourself and you will instantly be able to see the changes that are going on within you.

Hatha yoga can be easy to learn if you are open minded and want to learn. It is a technique that can be mastered if you put all your energy and concentration into it. By learning the techniques of Hatha yoga, you are well on your way to an alternative way of healing in the most holistic way possible.
